Unified Provisioning

Discovery Education is unifying provisioning, authentication, and account management across its diverse suite of educational products—including several that were acquired and built on different platforms. I designed new cross-product flows that support aligned RBAC logic, updated login pathways, and a streamlined in-product settings experience for new customers.

Discovery manages a large product portfolio, with over a dozen tools and platforms. Many of the products were acquired over time and maintain their legacy provisioning, login, and account management systems.

Three such products are now being migrated to Discovery’s core platform.This integration will unlock:

• New login pathways, including expanded SSO support
• Updated role-based access logic to align closer with Discovery standards
• Expanded account and settings pathways, across multiple user touchpoints

This unification effort brings clarity and efficiency to internal teams and customers, but also introduces risk, particularly around misaligned access and inconsistent UI patterns.
